Maxime Cléry-Melin graduated from both ESCP Business School and Tongji University (China). He also holds a Master II Research degree in Private Law from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University and he has been a lawyer at the Paris bar since 2013.
After having worked for the international business law firms Linklaters, Hogan Lovells and Bignon Lebray in Paris and in Shanghai, Maxime practiced in the white collar crime & litigation team of August Debouzy in Paris for 7 years. He has been a lecturer at the Paris X Nanterre University, the Paris Bar School and ESCP Business School.
He practices in French and English and is a member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) and the Droit & Procédure Association.
Volunteer lawyer and ambassador of the organisation European Lawyers in Lesvos, Maxime defends asylum seekers in Paris, Lesvos and Calais. He is a member of the organisation Barreau des rues.
